"Loved it"

I loved this little B&B. The only thing was that the room was very small so don't expect to spend too much time hanging out in it and the shower was so small that I couldn't bend over to shave my legs. But other than that it was wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and freshly made. And the owner was very nice and helpful. I would definately go back because I would rather have quality service and cleanliness over a bigger room and shower.

"Great Value for Great Quality"
By Mik of Monroe on Tuesday, May 19, 2009

I spent 2 days at the Holly Beach B&B in early May 2009. I was there for a convention and decided that I wanted to stay far enough away from the boardwalk area that I could rest in quiet and comfort, while being close enough to walk to my location. This hotel not only met but exceeded my expectations. The host was very friendly and courteous. The breakfast provided was exquisite and quite delicious. The room, although small, was very clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It was quiet, friendly and welcoming and a great value.

"Decent option if choices are limited"

Booked this B&B because the quality hotels were sold out. Clean room which is most important to me. Dingy street but only 4-5 blocks from boardwalk. Very small space with terrible view of dilapidated building. Friendly staff. Satisfactory overall.

"Absolutely tiny room"
By James of Washington, DX on Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Visitor Review
My wife and I spent a lot of money for a room with a double bed at this bed and breakfast. The room ended up being the size of a shoe box (not an exaggeration). We had to call hotels.com and wrangle with them to give us a "hotel bucks" to use towards a future stay at another hotel. The people and service was fine, but the room itself was far too small for the price we paid.

It was wonderful, everything about it but the room was very small. If that doesn't bother you, than I would HIGHLY recommend it.

I enjoyed the most the fact that it was so quiet and because we rented the cottage we had privacy . I enjoyed also their way of serving breakfast and I did find it very delicoius and well prepared.

"Lovely"
By Rachel of St. Marys on Sunday, August 03, 2008

All one could expect from a B+B. The room was exceedingly clean and the staff and managment was more then willing to be helpful. The food was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. The location is walkable to everything but far enough from the main drag to avoid excess traffic so sitting on the front porch in evening was most relaxing (especially with a cookie and cup of tea). I cannot say enough about the lovely time we had.

"Great service, small room"
By Daniel of Mastic Beach on Saturday, May 17, 2008

Visitor Review
We stayed in the cheapest of all the rooms in this hotel and it was quite small. They have a grass lot for parking. The service was very good. The people who run this place are very nice and personable. They provided us with information and a cozy place to stay. We had a queen bed in a room that was only slightly bigger than the queen bed, and I'm not exagerating in anyway. When I asked about this, they informed me that it used to be a hotel and each floor had one bathroom, but since made into a Bed and Breakfast the rooms were all given their own bathroom. This took a small room and made it tiny. They did have a minifridge, bathroom, TV, VCR, Air conditioner, ceiling fan, and small faux fireplace heater (fake fire, real heat). We did enjoy our stay at the holly beach bed and breakfast, but would definitely go for a larger room in the future. The neighborhood at night is not very good either. Do not walk around this place at night.

Never Again
By Anonymous on Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Visitor Review
Never again would we stay at holly beach bed & breakfast. The pictures on line are very deceiving. Four of us stayed in two tiny rooms, we were tripping over one another. The airconditioner was only in one room, so therefore the place was hot. The refrigerator did not keep the food cold, the stove on turned on high and made the place smell of gas. Breakfast consisted of packaged pastry and frozen waffles(we knew they weren't serving their usual breakfast, but still charged the same price). We couldn't even walk around the room without being in someones way. If the sofa bed was pulled out, the kitchen was inaccessible! Place was so bad we had to find another place to stay. They refused to refund any of our money! We didn't even sleep there!

Surprisingly, We Were Very Impressed....

My husband and I booked a last minute weekend vacation to Wildwood for our anniversary. We'd never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and were a little apprehensive, but since it was the only place available we booked it. When we got there we found the owner to be very pleasant and not intrusive at all (very good thing). Our room was nicely decorated and a comfortable temperature (no a/c issues). A real plus in the room was the jacuzzi tub. It was a decent size and had great jets. It's probably the nicest one we've had in a hotel/b&b. We also enjoyed our breakfasts. The b&b is only two or three blocks from the boardwalk so it's a great location from that respect. Not the greatest looking neighborhood, but not much different than the rest of Wildwood (Cape May is a prettier/cleaner area).
