excellent place to stay for location to boardwood, stores.cleanliness was excellent, always cleaning the outside and inside from am to pm. staff was so nice, front desk could not have been nicer. would and have told family members about our stay. plan to go back next year.

just returned from staying at hotel, very clean. excellent view of boardwalk, roof deck nice. hotel staff very nice and friendly. anything we needed we only had to ask and they help with all our needs. I plan to stay their again and have told family about location and hotel.

Mary and Joe are fantastic owners - Pleasant and caring - This hotel is sooo clean. Quiet at night and the perfect location for access to the beach or boardwalk. This was our first time there but we will definately be going back next year. It just doesn't get any better that this hotel!!!

We have been coming to the heart of wildwood for 13 years and would never stay anywhere else. The staff is great and it is the cleanest place around. Not to mention the location couldn't be better. I plan on coming back another 13 years.

We Go There... Year After Year

We go every year for the fireman's convention. We won't stay anywhere else. Joe & mary (the owners) are the best. Dotty in the front office is wonderful as well. Clean, 2 pools w/ fresh towels, right on the midway of the boardwalk, ample parking, discounts & coupns in the lobby(for boardwalk attractions & food) the best is at night when we get back from the boards....we relax on the well lit sundeck of the motel & watch families still walking the boards & having fun. It's a great place to enjoy!!!

Wouldn'T Honor A Reservation - Rude

We booked a reservation at this hotel and were called and told there was a "computer error" and they couldn't honor our reservation. I think that was a bunch of hogwash. We wanted to book a room for 4 days and they had 5 available. Evidently they found someone to book the 5 days and a "computer error" developed. We are not children being 48 & 51 years old and have 5 & 6 year old girls adopted from russia. This would have been our first vacation since adopting our 5 year old last year. The owner, cathy, had the most I don't give a --- attitude about the whole thing. We ended up finding a spotless, friendly motel called the sandpiper diagonally across the street that is wonderful. Although the sandpiper is less then half the size, the pool is similar size and as a result, not crowded at all. Bottom line, don't count on a reservation being held if they can get a dollar more from someone else.

Great Place for Families With Little Ones!

I stayed here last week with 4 year old twin boys, an infant and a 10 year old. We could not have enjoyed ourselves more. I read the review prior to going down and heard about the rude behavior of the line staff. I did not experience any of that. The night manager greeted us by our names, checked the place almost every hour. The daily maid service super sweet! And I must say the place was clean! These people know how to run thier establishment. I will say for the price the rooms are a little small, but who wants to stay in the room anyway. The close quarters were worth the sacrifice comapred to some of the "dumps" that I saw. If you have a family, this is the place to be.

This motel had excellent staff. They were very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. They keep it immaculate, everything is so neat and clean... It was unbelievable! The pool is fabulous and that is where we spent most of our time besides the beach. It was never really overcrowded. We found many of the guests we chatted with were regulars which really tells you something about the place. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely return to the heart of the wildwood!

I took my family for a 4 day stay at this hotel for the 2nd time and the cleanliness and service was excellent both times. However, the skinny older blonde lady is a tyrant. She makes sure that you don't have any problems and will address them but she needs to brush up on her courtesty which can be offensive to people. I can't emphasize how clean the facility was and the pool was excellent. Absolutely no problems with noise and a great family atmosphere seconds away from the boardwalk. I recommend this hotel to families as long as you don't want visitors since there are rules about people visiting the paying customer.

Cleanest Hotel I'Ve Ever Been In!

I wouldn't have hesitated to eat pancakes off of the floor, it's that clean! True, rooms (ours at least) were small but we pretty much just sleep there so no biggie. The staff was very responsive to a small need we had, no complaints there. Location - fantastic! Right there and the sundeck was where we spent many hours cooling our heels watching the boardwalk. Downside - pool was too warm to be refreshing. Again, no biggie, better than too cold. We did feel that the stern manner of the lady at checkin was a little off putting. It made us feel a little intimidated which is not how you want to start a romantic weekend. However, it probably does a lot to keep the hotel running as flawlessly as it does and no loud, obnoxious partiers either. Once we relaxed nothing could have been better. We likened it to a military operation, they don't take no crap but they deliver a great, clean (spotless), well taken care of and upkept hotel. Other staff members were very pleasant and less 'stern'. All in all, their methods provide the results we all want.

This hotel is in a very nice location. It is very clean, the staff are friendly and go the extra mile, there is parking (although it's tight so bring the smaller car), but you can just leave the car there since you are literally right in the middle of the boardwalk. The pool is clean and well-maintained and the beach is very close. They even hold your hotel key for you so you can go to the beach and not worry! Everything was good, the only thing that I would mention that wasn't perferct is the size of the rooms, they're pretty small, but in this location you'll be out on the boardwalk, beach, pool, and restaurants much more than you'll be in the room!
