I stayed at the madrid for prom weekend of 2006, and they were so anal. The rooms itself looked stupid because of the double bed and where it was placed in the livingroom. The brochure said there would be a slide.. But there wasnt!. They gave us a huge list of rules saying absolutly no vistors and cant be outside your room past 10. What are these people nuts. My whole highschool rented out the whole madrid except maybe like 2 other rooms. Of course its going to get rowdie. The showers sucked. My shower and like 3 other showers there broke and didnt even shoot water out of the shower head so we had to take a shower is someone elses room. The pizza place they told you to order from was absolutly horrendous. It was just a horrible room. But hey it was prom and i guess any room would do.. As long as you can get trashed in it!. And oh. - the smoking alarms. - yea. We just took the batteries out of those and smoked in the room. Its so much easier...

We Really Wanted To Stay

My girlfriend and i wanted to get-away from husbands, kids, work, etc. And relax for a weekend at the shore. We made reservations only 2 weeks before we were able to get away. When the week arrived, my girlfriend got sick and we were not able to go. When i called and explained this to madrid, i was told i had to have a dr.'s excuse to even consider the possibility of getting a refund of my deposit. Originally, i was told it would be no problem if we had to cancel - they would just charge my credit card for 15% of the deposit. That seemed fair. However, when the actual time came and we could not go, the story was different. It may be a nice hotel - i'll never know. If that's the way they do business, however - say one thing and do something else - i wouldn't recommend staying there as there are plenty of other hotels who i am sure would be willing to work with their prospective clients, such as giving a credit toward another weekend or refunding the amount deposited minus the 15% and doing what they say.
