Not Such A Great Hotel

Visitor Review
I had a pretty bad stay at the georgian. The rooms were very poor. Some of the drawers did not have bottoms. The window shades fell off the walls. There was very little walking room. No maid service and continental breakfast was a box of donut holes. I would not recommend this hotel.

Recently Redone Hotel With Old World Charm

Have stayed at the georgian hotel for the last three years. New owners recently (winter2002) remodeled the entire facility including room decor and furnishings. Very friendly staff. Had a great time this may 2003.

Lousy Hotel

Greedy low class hotel. I called to make a reservation for my dad as a father's day gift. After making the reservation I phoned my father and realized I made a reservation in the wrong city. My dad called less than 10 minutes later and the reservation agent told him there would be a $30 charge for cancellation. My father said this was ridiculous and the agent said she would speak to the manager. Well, lo and behold when I got my credit card statement I was charged. I was charged $126 and refunded $96 at the same time - they just swiped my card to make the money. Buyer beware.

Great Family Hotel!

Great family hotel in the center of ocean city. The georgian is fine for a short stay in oc. It is especially good for those with young children. Close to the boardwalk, restaurants, etc. The charming and courteous owners, the mcfadden family, does everything to help you enjoy your stay. Occasionally there is a problem with parking, but a few times around the block you can usually find something. You can go fancier, but for a short stay is is more than adequate.

Stayed at the georgian this passed weekend. The shower had mildew all over it--with no exaggeration. The drawers had hairs in them that weren't ours, clothes left behind, and a feather. The pillows were completely flat. The floor was slanted. The parking was ridiculous--can't anyone read the sign in their tiny lot "compact cars only--no suvs"? If you got into a spot, you had to hope there was enough room for you to get out. There were only blinds on the window (which made it extremely hard to sleep once the sun came up). The pool---yea right! Oh, one more thing (to keep this from getting too long)--the walls are paper thin (including the ceiling). Every move the people above us made, we heard (at 2:30 a.m.) Not worth the $ at all!!!!!

Friendly Staff, Charming Rooms

We rented a 2 bedroom separated by a large bathroom. We gave our teenagers the feeling of "being on their own" while knowing when they were safely in bed. Each room had its own tv and refrigerator. Our room was especially charming. I loved the white blinds on the four windows in the alcove. Parking was a pain but the staff was wonderful. We're staying longer next summer!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. While it was not huge it was big enough for the 4 of us and close enough to the beach so we could just walk. The people at the desk were very nice and seemed like old friends after just a day.
