"Cheapest I Could Find in OCNJ"
By Anonymous on Tuesday, September 29, 2009

Visitor Review
This was the cheapest place that I could find in OCNJ. It's in a great location, but the beds aren't comfortable. The beds are hard and your feet are higher than your head. Also, there is not hair dryer in the room, so remember to bring your own. The front desk may have one, we didn't call to find out.

"Too far from Boardwalk"
By Anonymous on Saturday, August 15, 2009

Visitor Review
We were a little disappointed with our hotel, mostly because the info said it was 4 blocks from the Boardwalk when in reality it was 20 blocks from the Boardwalk. We also did not like the beds in our room - one of the beds did not fit on the platform it was on and only one person could lay on it. Also the check out time of 10:00 am is too early!

Dealing with Sunny at the front desk was such a pleasure. The staff is so friendly and the place is cute. Our room was cleaned everyday, location is a great..minutes away from the beach, restaurant, shopping. I would recommend The Crossing to my family and friends. Thanks for a great relaxing, friendly vacation!

Best South End Resort
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
This is the best kept secret in ocean city. The south end beaches are wider, cleaner, and less crowded. The crossings's room are the same size as most downtown places but their furinute is newer and the rooms are cleaner. The staff was friendly and the pool was clean and clear even in august. I found the south end a new and enjoyable experience.

Great Place

This is a very good place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. They are also very knowegable of interesting things to do and visit in the area. They always try to do their best to make you feel comfortable and they always find me a smoking room so I dont have to go outside in bad weather , of which we have only had 1 day of rain in the 4 times we have stayed there. This is truely a great place to stay.

A Solid Choice
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
We have been staying at the crossings on and off for years and always consider it the first-choice place if we are going to ocean city for the weekend. The rooms are small and somewhat dated but clean, and the motel is in walking distance to the beach. We choose this hotel mostly for the location, which is at the south end of the island, where the beaches are nicer and less crowded, than for its rooms or amenities (though we do enjoy the pool).

Home Away From Home.......

Visitor Review
I've been going to crossings motor inn for years now. I found the place by accident one day, and was drawn in by the friendliness of the staff. They made everything an easy process, and are available 24 hours a day with any questions. The rooms are an average size, and the mini fridge comes in handy for those snacks you don't finish from the acme next door, wawa on the other side, or dairy queen across the street. My only issue being that i need to bring my own blowdryer. You can rent out beach tags if you need to, or just lounge around in the pool they have provided. It's a relaxing atmosphere if you just want to get away with a friend or loved one, and you don't want to pay a million dollars to stay down the shore. Sure you have to drive to the beach, but when you get back to your hotel your back to quietness and relaxing. I've never had a bad experience and am planning on booking another trip very soon. It's my home away from home. Not too fancy, but perfect for a little get away! Perfect for me.

Update About The Hote
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
Okay, just to let everyone know, they renovated!!!!!!!!!! Every room is now an efficiency with a kitchen, complete with utensils for four, pots, pans, even a dish drainer, it's wonderful. With the acme next door it is perfect for making your own romantic meal!! I was so excited to see the new additions that I took a picture of my bed with my cell phone!! Every efficiency is decorated differently I might add, so my picture is one of many rooms. We had a great time once again!

Walking Distance To Everything, But Overpriced for The Value
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
Okay, maybe i'm spoiled, but i found that this motel needed extensive maintenance work. Yes, it's within walking distance to the beach, supermarket and some good eateries, and it was very clean, and the staff were very friendly, but all that was dampened by my disappointment with the maid service, the continental breakfast, and the general run-down appearance. The maid always short-changed us on towels, and never replenished the toilet paper and shampoo. There is no hair dryer in the room. The microwave was located atop the fridge, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but you couldn't plug it in. The cord was too short, even with an extension cord attached. There was minimal equipment in the kitchenette. Two cooking pans, one of which was dirty. No luggage stand. The room had a funny smell to it -- almost like urine. I think it came from the air conditioner. Only one teeny tiny ice tray in the freezer. There is an ice machine, but it cost 50 cents. We had only one outdoor chair. It looked like everyone was "borrowing" from other rooms because there weren't enough to go around. The one elevator is in very bad shape and if you wanted to take the stairs, it was poorly lit and slipperly when wet and locked from the outside. The pool water was clean, but the cement was cracking around the edges. I liked the fact that they provide towels at the pool. There is somekind of tubing that runs along the walkway on the second floor that looks like it is about to fall and drips water onto the pool area. This makes it somewhat slippery and annoying when it drips on your head. The continental breakfast is disgusting. A pot of very bad coffee and a plate of mass-produced danish from the supermarket. That's it. For the money we paid, i don't think this place was worth it.

Customer Service Was Terrible
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
I recently stayed at crossings motor inn based on the reviews of other guests. When i received my confirmation in the mail, the dates were wrong. I called and they were very nice about fixing my problem. Which was their mistake. My family and i checked in and went to our room, to find 1 bed and a sofa bed. When i made the reservations, i specficially asked for 2 beds. I went back to the office to find out about switching rooms and was greeted by a clerk with a gaint sized attitude. Not only was she rude, she threw the new keys at me. Our stay was very nice and all other staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. However, whenever we walked through the office, this clerk would stare at us and then whisper to her coworker. On the day of check out, i took my bags to my car and had my hotel keys, she ran out to me yelling, you forgot to turn in the keys, i was planning on going back inside to speak with her. I asked for the managers name, and she replied i told her that you would be complaining. Then she told me to fill out this paper and never come back to her hotel. I have never received such horrilbe service. Is this how customers are supposed to be treated. I called the manager and told her about her staffs rude behavior and that i would never go or recommend the hotel to anyone.

Continental Breakfast??
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
Initially I was drawn to this hotel because of their claim that there was a free daily continental breakfast. Orange "drink", coffee and donuts from the acme across the street do not a continental breakfast make! The only plus to this tiny-roomed hotel was the pool.
