Great family vacation at the Alante
By Nonnatrish on Monday, July 23, 2007

Visitor Review
From our warm greeting to our final check out...Alante became our home away from home for one week in July 2007. There were 19 in our family and Alante fit all of our varying needs. I had a corner room, second floor, which I would go back to in a heartbeat! My room was always clean, cool and the new mattress was almost as comfortable as home! The view of the ocean, the quick walk to the boardwalk, Russo's around the corner...Alante offered the room, the locale, the accomodations that made for a great vacation. If any questions call and speak with Marguerite about any additional expenses for visitors etc. They do come across with what they promise...great family accomodations for a beachfront motel.

Lost Five Years Off My Life

We had spent five years at this hotel and finally after last season, we decided it was time to move on...don't get me wrong, the people that run the hotel are nice, but after spending almost $7,000 over a five year period in the same room and nothing ever being done to upgrade it, it was time for a change. I mean, the same old bed, the same running faucet, no utensils to cook in the kitchen...had to bring our own pots and pans from home...my friend had no door on her refrigerator. I mean, things like this. Just upgrade a few things and loyal customers like myself will be back. I just think that it is insane to be bringing in that kind of money and not to anything with it... Like when you come home from being out and it is 1:00 in the morning and you don't have anyplace to park your car...if you park on the street, it is metered parking and after paying all of this money to the hotel, you have no place to put your car!!! They are just getting through the season and not doing anything with all of the money that they make at this place. I will tell anyone who says that they want to go there, it is great the first stay, but after a few stays, you will notice the same thing as me...time to move on!!!!

Home Away From Home

We've stayed at a half a dozen places over the years but have spent the last six here. There is no place better. The ownership is gracious to a fault and they take great pride in the cleanliness and comfort of their rooms. Almost every year there are up-grades, whether it be fountains in the pool or additional t.v.'s and vcr's in the rooms, all to make the guest more relaxed and at home with their surroundings. It seems that every year while we are there every room is full of the same loyal visitors as the year before making for new friendships that last. I've sent many other friends and relatives to stay here and all have raved about their experience there.

Great Location - Decent Rooms -Decent Price

We stayed at the alante august 2005. The room worked for us - 2 adults and 2 children. The hotel was quiet, alot of families stay there. The efficiency/motel room is an adequate size, but not large. It was very clean, the maids left enough towels, the kitchen was equiped with mismatched silverware and plates/dishes, but that's not a problem. I bring alot of my own cooking items anyway, just because you never know what you will find in the efficiencies. Our bureau drawers were broken, but we just kept our clothes in the suitcases. The view from the upper deck/2nd floor is beautiful - the ocean is right across the street. The views from the 1st floor - ocean front rooms - stink. You basically have people parking right in front of your window and cannot see the beach due to the dunes and grasses planted at the end of the beach. I'm not sure if i would pay extra for the 1st floor oceanfront rooms! And there is no window in the back bedroom, so it feels more closed in than the other type of rooms. The front windows are new and open for a nice breeze. The motel is within walking distance to the boardwalk and with the ocean across the street it works out great running to the beach during the day. Especially if you have young ones. Behind the motel is a courtyard full of toddler outdoor toys (little tykes cars, a playhouse, ect) and several tables with umbrellas and a grill. The pool has 2 plastic resin tables and chairs, and lounge chairs. The pool was always clean and stays open until about 7:00 pm.the staff is friendly enough, the hotel is clean and the location is great.
