Romantic Memorial Day Getaway

My fiance and I initially debated which b&b to go to, until we realized it was more important to find a place that was decent and clean - and saving some money on doing things in cape may. Tripadvisor helped us a lot in choosing jetty motel. The motel is a basic motel but with the key ingredients you want - cleanliness, view, and an extremely friendly/helpful staff. Also, the view of the beach & ocean is fantastic. You are at the very end of the beach (beach dr), where at night, you can enjoy a bit of quietness while soaking everything in. (if you want the bars, they are only about 4-5 blocks away.) I highly recommend this motel and we plan on going back there again on our next stay.

The Place To Stay In Cape May

Clean and quiet motel in the absolute best location in town, but what is exceptional is its staff. These folks treat a guest like a friend. We've been back every year since we 'discovered' it. Most motels are a stop-over on the way to a destination - the jetty is the destination. Bravo to the owners and staff.

Jetty Motel- Awesome for Families

The Jetty, and its traditional Jersey motel styling, is the perfect family motel. Located at the end of Beach Ave., it's great for those wanting to get away from the maddening crowd. The staff is very friendly and used to dealing with kids, so they don't get impatient. Plus, since it has a family-friendly rep, there are tons of other kids around you, so the offspring will quickly make new friends. Your kids will also love this place for the pool and the neat beach locale. Unlike other parts of the Cape May beach, this one is situated on a cove (with the lighthouse in the distance providing the perfect family photo backdrop). The cove positioning means the waves aren't quite as brutal as they can be further on down the line, and the little ones won't feel so threatened. And more importantly, the motel is right on the beach! Two steps and little toes are touching sand.

Who are these people giving this place great reviews? My guess is you are homeless people the jetty pulled in off the street, who are just happy for a roof over your head.

I took my sisters away for the weekend at the jetty. I have to admit I was a little nervous because my sisters are rather fussy. However, after close inspection they pronounced the room to be immaculate. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We will return.
