Don'T Stay Here

The location is the only reason to stay here. It's right across from the beach and the atlantic. This hotel is really in poor condition. Our room had no telephone. I inquired at the front desk. I was told that there was no phone in my room because it was "broken". I asked if i could have a different phone. The woman laughed at me and said, "not if it's broken." there are no amenities at all - no hairdryer, no iron, no ironing board, no shampoo, no shower caps. All we had was soap. There were only wash cloths and bath towels, but no hand towels. The room smelled musty and old. Some of my relatives were staying in other rooms - some without alarm clocks. Those people who had telephones said you could not call from room to room, but could call anywhere in cape may. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The people who run the hotel are very rude and don't care at all about customer service. They obviously are not interested in upgrading their property either. It is in terrible shape.

We found the coachmans motor inn to be a very pleasent place to stay. Our children had plenty of on site activities to keep them busy while not at the beach, shuffle board, tennis, basketball, and a pool. They have a very nice resturaunt/bar with different specials like kareoke and prime rib night. We had a great vacation and recommend the coachmans to everyone.

Love The Coachman'S Motor Inn

I have spent summers in cape may at a campground near the beach since I was very young and have always thought the coachman looked like a nice place to stay. When my husband and I were dating, we decided to spend memorial day weekend in cape may and made reservations at the coachman. The location is perfect, being right across the street from the beach, and we had no problems at all with the room or their service. If I remember correctly, there may not have been an alarm clock in the room, but that was not a big deal for us. There is a restaurant attached that has great breakfast. The pool and the property are very nice and I plan to stay there again with our toddler as soon as we can. It's not a fancy hotel, but it's a very comfortable and clean place to stay in a fantastic location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
