"Smoky"
By Chrissy of Bayville, NJ on Friday, March 19, 2010

Room was clean, modern and spacious. My only complaint was the hotel lobby was EXTREMELY smoke filled. I've been to other casinos and this, by far, was the worst in that aspect. I actually went to Borgata to gamble.

"Great time had by most!! Good for kids"

We were off the stip. However, at the front door (for $2.25 per person) they will take you to ANYWHERE on the stip. I had a GREAT time. It was more quiet in the trump over the other trump. They did not give us the coupon book that they went on and on about so... However, SKIP the breakfast buffet, it's just eggs, really, there was other stuff but only made to order eggs bar was any good at all. The staff is VERY friendly and kind and wonderful. The room was VERY DARK. That was werid. They had 20 watt bulbs. We ask for better ones but, that is what they had. So, not the best for work and play, but the play was fun. It was not crowd and bossy here like other places on the strip. It's an older crowd. It's perfect for peaceful rest and all in all very very nice.

"Great Room for the Money"
By Anonymous on Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Visitor Review
If you are looking for a decent place to stay near the Marina, Trump Marina Hotel wasn't bad. However, one caveat is that I would definitely book this room through hotel.com and not directly from the Hotel. I stayed with 4 girl friends and we got $20 in gambling money and $25 for food money, which isn't bad. The only thing is poor lighting and no amenities, such as tooth brush and tooth paste. However, you are in Atlantic City to gamble and party so those are actually pretty moot.

I was quite nervous about staying at this Hotel after reading all of the not so positive reviews. The only reason I booked it is because another couple we were going to Atlantic City had already booked their room there. The hotel was beautiful, the room we were in looked like it has just been remolded. I typically go to Vegas to gamble, and I would rate these rooms right up there with the ones in Vegas. Very Nice!

"A Disappointing Experience"
By Anonymous on Wednesday, October 07, 2009

Visitor Review
Hotel is old by today's modern casinos. It reminds you of the early days of AC casinos - it is about 10 years too old. Only breakfast place open - opened at 11:30. The only coffee in the AM was at a lobby bar - the bartender only had small cups (small white styrofoam) and commented that you cannot find anything in this place. Note - the bartender was exceptionally knowledgeable about the casinos history and its current financial state. Aside from his comment, there was great pride in his tenure and that of his colleagues at the hotel. Nevertheless, I would like a cup of coffee in the AM. Room was adequate but not special. If you want something special, stay a night at the Rittenhouse - and you will know what true service means. Finally, the casino charges ala carte for everything. The informed consumer may appreciate the choice of having services built into the fee. Overall, the people were friendly, the facility is lacking. I'd try somewhere else if you are looking for a place with energy, coffee, and the opportunity to find a place opened for breakfast.

"Convenience of location"
By Chanel of New York on Monday, October 05, 2009

Everything was perfect except the location of the hotel. It was so far from the other hotels and Broadwalk. We had the most fun.It was disappointing, that the DECK couldn't have there last party of the season because of the weather. Then the WAVE cancelled its party, that was the only thing that spoiled our fun. The bathroom needed the shower curtain liner changed becuase it smelled lightly like mildew.Other than all of that we would recommend this hotel to others .

Trump Marina The Best Place To Stay and Gamble
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
My mom, daughter and I set out for atlantic city. We wanted to take a road trip so we drove. What a wonderful time we had. We stayed in several places, the best by far was trump marina. The room was so cozy and beautiful. I have never slept in such a comfortable bed. The bed had very nice linens and a luxurious comforter. Service was excellent. We like the slots and immediately i won $800.00 a combined total from the penny and nickle slots. The comps we received were enough for all three of us to eat at the seaside restaurant overlooking the marina. Service and food the best we have ever had. We have ate in alot of places. Try the sea bass and the prime rib. We also stayed on the boardwalk. Resorts and trop. I would recommend the resorts, but in my opinion the trump marina is the tops! The comps and cashback you receive is better than any other casino there. If you are young and you like loud you will like the trop. There is alot of nightlife, but so loud you really can't enjoy it. Really a young persons scene.

A funny review. I checked in which was flawless very late at night and thought life was good. Room had a beeping smoke alarm and had to call front desk and they were great. Had Better Rooms!
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

I have stayed at borgata, trop, showboat, atlantic palace, and harrahs. This is not worth $200 a nite on a weekend. As another reviewer stated, the walls are paper thin!! The room next to me was full of young guys who decided to talk & laugh at 4-5 a.m. & play loud music! The water glasses which were supposedly "clean" & covered with paper lids had lipstick all over them! Ew! The bed was not that comfortable compared to all the other hotels I have stayed at. The bathroom was not clean & the wall trim was starting to become detached from the wall-and you could see all the dust/grime behind it. La donald needs to update this poor hotel. I was on the gambling floor late in the evening on friday and it was quiet & the drink service was good. I did win a little. I will say that the room had a hair dryer/coffee maker/ which is better than the trop or atlantic palace.

Ok But Spoiled By Better Places.....
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
I stayed here for business december 6th-8th, 2005. Although the room had a great view and was clean, I found the bed extremely uncomfortable. I was surprised for a trump property to have cheap linen! Now the room service, which is 24 hours, was not as expensive with a million fees as other places. In addition, the waiter we had was extremely courteous and professional. The room service set-up was very nice and the food presentation was good as well. I enjoyed the room service more so than anything else. The business center is expensive. If you have your own laptop, bring it because to print and to access the web there, it is costly. They need a more convenient was to take your bags to your room yourself, should you choose. They almost force you to get assistance and then have to tip the person because the hotel rooms are so far from the parking lot and you have to walk through the casino, upstairs and escalators with heavy bags!! Ridiculous! However, the staff there was pure service with a smile and are helpful and friendly. Great rates during the week.

Not for The 20-Something Crowd

Stayed at the trump marina hotel and casino in early january with my boyfriend. I was by no means expecting anything near vegas - but found both the hotel and atlantic city itself to be very disapointing.room: it reeked of old cigarette smoke and was decorated in pink and green with 1970's furniture - definitely needed to be deep cleaned and remodeled. Also, the walls are so thin, you can hear every single word the people next door are saying.crowd: I always knew alantic city attracted an older crowd, but at 23, I think the average person staying at this hotel was atleast 3 times older than me.

Hello and Welcome To 1985!
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
The evening started off by having to pay the $4.00 parking fee(most casino's in ac give you free parking by showing the players card). Check in was slow even though there were only about 4 people in line. They have no real check in line so people just stood around looking confused and not sure which check in person was available or who was next. We got our room, king smoking room on a high floor. (note : ask for lower floors!). They have plenty of elevators so the wait was short. The room: well when we stepped out onto the floor it looked like a old ice cream parlor gone bad. Taffy colored pink carpet with white and pink striped walls. The room was good sized, but it really really needed an update. The furniture looked like very cheap and the bedspread was an off white that looked more brown and needed to be burned. The bathroom vanity had cigarette burns all over it. The walls were so thin, we could hear the people in the next room talking about how much money they were each winning or losing(by the way they were doing much better than we were). The only good part was the nice city view we had.

Fabulous Stay
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
I was skeptic to stay at trump marina because of the not so good reviews and so far away from boardwalk but I had the best time, first when I arrive at the check-in around 3:30pm. Thinking our room should be ready because the check-in time is 4pm. The check in lady say "are we willing to wait for a room". I was thinking what is 3:40pm already and the rooms are not ready. But the lady explained that there are bigger and better room and just newly renovated. She advise us to wait, if not we can get one of the older room. Of course I waited because I want a newer room. The check-in lady was very nice and courtesy. At 5:45pm our room were ready. We had a corner room so the room is peace and quiet from the hallway. When I first walk-in to the room. I was blown away. We had the king size bed room. The bed had a lovely head board and the height of the bed was high so u have to climb up the bed if you are short. There were tons of decorating pillows around and on the bed. We had a harbour view. The room look like it would cost $300-$400 per night but I only paid $71 tax included. The only bad thing is the bathroom is not renovate. So they have the new room and old bathroom. And one more thing dining is very average. If you want better food, I would suggest you to go across the street to borgata. Borgata dining are so much better.

The Crystal Tower Suites Are Garishly Aphrodisiacal
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
About once or twice a year my wife and I (without the kids) like to go on a “sin” outing to a fancy hotel-casino. We enjoy staying in opulently overdone rooms with lots of mirrors, hot tubs, and tawdrily luxurious appointments. The suites at the trump marina crystal towers fit the bill precisely! There appear to be two types of suites in the crystal towers. One is really just one huge bedroom with attached bathroom that has a sitting area, marble floors, an immensely large hot tub (located tantalizing close to a king sized bed), and lots and lots of mirrors. These include full length wall mirrors, mirrors lining the wall behind the bathtub (wow!), mirrors lining the bed headboard, and even vertical mirrors that serve as crown molding. I'm guessing the name “crystal” towers derives from all the glass they use. Overwrought and tasteless to be sure, but sexy as all hell! The second type of suite contains a huge living room with oversized hot tub linked by double doors to a bedroom with two attached bathrooms. The two room + bath suite doesn't have many mirrors, although there are ones on the ceiling over the bed (which my wife really liked) and full-length closet mirrors in the hallway leading from the bedroom to the bathrooms. The two room + bath suite is not as garishly aphrodisiacal as the “mirror” suite, but its size and luxurious appointments (including a lavish and color coordinated bedroom decor) nonetheless make for a sensuous environment. Families note: neither type of suite is suitable for kids!

Don'T Go Here Unless You Are A Smoker
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
The trump marina is one of the oldest casinos around, and their ventilation system has obviously not been updated since it was built. The entire hotel/casino is like a smoky bar. There is no place to hide, even on the non-smoking floors or in your room. The smoke must come up the elevator shafts. We've been to other casinos, and i've never experienced this before. The newer casinos must have state of the art ventilation which at least makes it tolerable for non-smokers to be in there. There is no air-conditioning at all in the winter, and our rooms (at 350.00 per night!) Were humid and overheated for some reason, even though it was 20-something degrees out and the thermostat was on 50. The room didn't even cool off after shutting the fans off for many hours at the direction of maintenance when we arrived. They did come up and bring some tiny fans when we returned to our rooms later and complained again, but that really wasn't going to do it. I heard many other people complain too, so it just wasn't us. We had burning eyes, sore throats - the works. There was simply no air.

Nothing To Write Home About
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

My wife and I (34 and 29) stayed at the trump marina last weekend and found it to be just ok. We ate at the italian restaurant and found the food to be good, but very pricey for what you get. We stayed in a suite on the 7th floor and although the room was nice, the lights outside our window turned night into day so we had to practically seal the curtains shut to keep the light out. The room wasn't bad but no food or drinks in the fridge, thought that was strange. The staff was fine except the security guards who ask to see your hotel key before you can get on the elevator, they were all too aggressive. The casino was nice, but again, nothing spectacular. I don't know why I expected more from a trump property but it was as cheesy and fake as the donald's sad comb-over.

A Nice Experience
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
I stayed at the trump marina during a recent business trip. I was a little concerned about the distance this hotel is from the convention center but a family friend highly recommended the marina, so we decided to stay there. There are jitney buses that travel 24/7 to every hotel and the convention center (which deserves a review unto itself) so it really wasn't a problem traveling to and from the marina. We had a room on the 19th floor facing the city. It was a beautiful view at night. The room was very spacious, very clean, and very comfortable. The decor was tasteful and not gaudy or garish in my opinion. The beds were extremely comfortable. Someone commented that there weren't any items in the refrigerator. This actually was beneficial to me because I had several bottle of water that I brought and I put them in the fridge so they were refreshingly cold. As a matter of fact, one of them turned into ice (which kept it cold during most of the day!). The casino was small, but i'm not much of a gambler so it didn't affect my stay. From what I could tell, the clientele at the marina is basically either seniors or families, and it was quiet. I felt very safe there as the security personnel checked everyone's cards upon entering the elevator lobbies to go to the hotel. My one complaint is that the food was good but not great. One night we met up with some friends who were staying at the borgata and we ate there. The food was much better. But the marina did have many food choices if you don't want to travel. And if you are in the casino area, there are servers to bring drinks. I didn't really find the casino too smoky except near the roulette and poker tables. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers - there are internet connections in every room, it's quiet and it's safe.

Trump Marina - Truly Great Service & Wonderful Suite

We were guests at the trump marina during the last week of may/first wk in june. Our suite in the crystal towers was spotless (with 2 bathrooms) with a bed & pillows more comfortable than our own at home. We carefully read all the reviews posted here, but never once experienced any smell of cigarette smoke. Every one of their personnel went out of their way to speak to us and/or smile. We never once heard noise out in the halls or from neighboring rooms.

Room was a standard room on 11th floor, very clean with nice view. Friday morning had breakfast at the cafe on 4th floor. Being lent, no meat, had the marina special, a omlette stuffed with seafood. Excellent. So in closing thank you trumpster for a wonderul comp. Stay. We'll be back. Don&carol!!!

Horrible Service
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
My boyfriend and I have gone to ac a lot, and this was the worst stay we've ever had. While we are used to places such as showboat and harrah's having pastery shops open for late night snacks including milk and orange juice, trump marina had nothing of the sort. I spent an hour trying to find orange juice and milk. We were so hungry and all the places to eat such as the pizza place, auntie anne's pretzels, and even hooters (yes, I was that hungry haha) were closed at an unreasonable hour. The front desk told me to go to the gift shop and vending machines. What did they have? Candy and soda...yum, just what we want at 12 midnight. The restaurant upstairs wouldn't let me buy the drinks to take back to my room with me. The manager of the restaurant told me I could order room service to get the juice and milk...and pay what, $20? No thanks. I went back to the front desk outraged, spoke to a woman who was very impolite, and wound up going to the bar to get an orange juice. All the other hotels would have given us comps or some sort of "we're sorry apology", but not trump marina. Aside from the fact that even though we had a reservation ahead of time, we has to sleep on the 21st floor, in a smoking room, with two double beds. The only good outcome of this trip? I won $200 on roulette. Anywhere in ac is better than this place. Don't waste your time and money. The casino is fine, but not a place to sleep over.

We have found a wonderful solution to those inevitable cabin-fever days of winter...getaway to atlantic city, and specifically, our favorites, trump marina, plaza and taj.....our winter sojourns have now spilled into spring and our fledgling video poker forays have graduated into "look, I got a royal flush"! Your giveaways, contests and entertainment are unequaled by any other casino. Thank you for our unending free rooms and other comps. Perhaps someday we may live like trump..one can only dream!

Anyone Who Does Not Rate Trump Marina A 10 Is Missing Something

My wife and I have not been to a>c> in at least 12 years! We decided to stay at the trump marina because it's approximate location to the water and it's "on the far end of the city". The most important thing about the trump marina were the staff! Fantastic people...and we are not what you would call "high rollers'...maybe more "medium rollers"! The first day...during check in...due to the location (height)of our room (the 26th floor) we were uncomfortable. Simple room, king sized bed, marina view, smoking. We returned to the check in desk and the young lady was completely professional; listened to us; talked to the manager; returned with the commitment to a suite on the 8th floor. And this was at our original quoted price! To go on...we check out and the suite was priced for both nights at the reduced rate of a room with a king sized bed!

I cannot imagine the beautiful offers that trump marina offers its "lower" players -- we spent the weekend overnight and the staff, hosts and servers couldn't have done more to make us feel welcomed!!!, I enjoy that they have a large selection of penny, nickel & quarter slots which actually make you feel like you are winning (and you do!)!!!

Great Stay

Had a compted room at the trump marina(one of the few offering them). Have stayed here before and this stay was just as good as last. Check in was fast, early and very pleasant, due to the nice people working here. Room was on 11th floor with nice view of boats, borgata and ocean. If you like a seafood omlete for breakfast they have a great one, called the marina special. Enjoyed our stay(thanks for the room trumpster). We will return!!!

Loved My Vacation At The Trump Marina
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 15, 2006

Visitor Review
My wife and I had a great six day vacation at the trump marina. Having retired six weeks earlier and coming up to our thirty third wedding anniversity I was looking for something special. Having ms and limited mobility I needed a friendly place where I could get around with my electric scooter and have a great time. I wanted a special place for my wife who helps me seven days a week fifty two weeks a year. Trump marina was the place. When we arrived at the hotel the doorman greeted us and quickly took my scooter out of the trunk and assisted my wife with its assembly. The doorman then took all our lugagge (five bags, one small cooler, one wheelchair, one walker) into the hotel. We then checked in at the vip desk and were given great assistance.my youngest son and girl friend joined us on the following day which was our anniversity. We had a great day with my son winning $1,200.00 and had an excellent dinner at portifinos. I forgot to mention that my wife won about $600.00 which was great. How did I do? Well, we cannot all be winners.

Better Than Expected

For the price, the hotel was amazing. We stayed for one night, the thursday before memorial day, 2006. We had two rooms for four adults, but one would have been fine. There were several places to eat, including room service. The front desk, room service and even dealers, were extremely nice and very helpful. The location of the hotel was good. Our room over-looked the water, and was next to two other outstanding hotels. It is far enough from the boardwalk to not have kids running around yet close enough to kill a few hours, if you're losing too much money.

Not Impressed

The hotel is very far from the other casinos. Very smoky kind of invironment.not good for people with resporitory problems and children. Very comfortable beds though but walls are paper thin. If you like the board walk and the other casinos, this is not the hotel to stay in.

I enjoyed staying at your hotel and also playing there all night... The waitresses were quick with the drinks and the dealers were really nice... Although I lost some money I can't wait to come back and try to win it back... Thanks.

Decent But Needs Some Updating

The marina is showing its age. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly. Went to gamble and that's what I did. Only needed the room for a shower and a couple of hours to sleep. As far as food goes only ate at the upstairs cafe which has good dinner food. The marina is not a party place but that was fine w/ me.

Will Never Go Back

This hotel was extremely smoky - it seemed like the smoke had penetrated every surface, even in the non-smoking rooms. The food service was terrible, rooms dirty and uncomfortable, and service a nightmare.

Just Say No To Trump Marina
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 07, 2006

Visitor Review
Called ahead and asked to check in early. They said fine. Got there and said room wasn't ready and I had to wait over 3 hours for it. The room looked nothing like the photos on their website, it was tacky and outdated. Windows were dirty, bed was too hard, room was of cheap motel quality. The slots were extremely tight. All in all, nothing good to say about this place.
