Stayed night of march 26. There were eight girls with two rooms which were adjoining. Hotel very clean and well appointed. Beds are soooo comfortable with room decor very warm and inviting. Room service great. Ceasars provides limo service on weekends which is supposed to run every 15 minutes, we waited over a half hour and wound up taking a taxi. It really is not a long walk to ceasars, (around 4 blocks). I will defintately stay here again

We booked a room at the sheraton for a last minute get-away in atlantic city last summer. The room was a bit pricey at $233 per night, but we recouped the cost at the casinos.

Excellent Hotel

I just had a perfect one night stay. This hotel is run well, very nicely furnished and very clean. I highly recommend it. Before I took this quick trip I checked tripadvisor reviews. I saw that the sheraton was rated very high. What really caught my eye was that I saw one person who had a minor complaint. There was a management response from danny williams of the hotel who seemed to really care. The reviews for many other hotels were really bad, and not one management response. This meant a lot to me. Well it showed. This was a very nice stay at a very nice hotel. If you're going to atlantic city stay here. You'll be very happy.

A Pleasant Surprise

My girlfriend and I stayed at the sheraton on a recent saturday night "getaway". Being a "spg" member, I chose this hotel for one reason; the "heavenly bed". I have stayed at starwood properties all over the world from rome to hawaii, and have always enjoyed a very restful sleep thanks to the heavenly bed and I wasn't disappointed this time around. The hotel was very clean (an absolute requirement), and the room had a nice view of the "strip". I reserved a room on the club level, which has a nice lounge area with beverages, and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. The fact that there is no casino in this hotel is a very big plus for me.

My husband and I stayed one night at the sheraton in atlantic city, nj. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will stay there again. A few warnings...this is hotel does not have a casino and it somewhat off the beaten track (i.e. Approx 10 minute walk or short cab ride to the boardwalk). It is connected to the atlantic city convention center.

Very clean hotel, very pleasant staff and great location add up to a wonderful stay. Only 4 blocks from the casinos and across the street from the atlantic city outlets, the location provided an excellent venue for both my wife and myself. I have stayed here on business and plan to stay here again in the future.

I've stayed on the club floor 3x and only once have I been able to get up early enough to make the breakfast hour. It ends at 9:30. Basically you're paying $30 more to eat a muffin. Not a big deal.

This is an older motel but nicely maintained. Nice miss america displays in windows out on the sidewalk are sun faded and look junky. Bulbs on the building are burned out outside also. I reserved a "club level" room and arrived at 1:45 p.m. However my room wasn't ready until nearly 4 p.m.!! Friendly housekeeping staff. It's a long walk to the casinos and the beach but $1.75 shuttles are available across the street. I usually had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle I wanted, though. There is a very nice shopping area near the motel. If you're flying into philadelphia, you could easily take the train from the airport to downtown philadelphia then switch trains to the a.c. convention center and walk across the street to this motel. Then use the shuttles to the casinos; no rental car needed. Pool area just o.k. The "snacks" served on the club level every afternoon are awesome. I ate supper there every day!! The breakfast is just o.k. If you are attending an event at the convention center stay here, otherwise I would pick one of the casino motels on the beach.

Surprisingly Poor for A Sheraton
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
An end of summer impromtu 4 night vacation; selected sheraton because we trusted the name and we had never been in atlantic city before. We were quite disappointed with the service. Front desk always very slow to answer the phone. The valet service took on average 15 minutes for the car; television was not working when we checked in and went on the fritz again later in stay. Housekeeping was poor. Breakfast should be convenient in hotel; traveling with 5 family members ( 2 rooms) - orange juice was $4 a glass ( in the restaurant)! Old room service trays in the hallways everytime we walked towards our room. Took at least 2 calls for any special request ( robes, etc). Concierge was the least helpful of all. Asked about a restaurants and they send us to a cafeteria style place. Asked about a church in town and they only know about catholic church and could offer no further help.

Beautiful Hotel, Nice Sevice, Always Looking for Tips!

This is a really nice hotel, the only draw back was that everyone had their hand out for a tip and even get mad when you try to do something yourself. Other than that it was a wonderful hotel, I would stay here again, the hotel is with in "safe" walking distance from the boardwalk, because you walk through a busy shopping area and then your on the boardwalk. Very very nice hotel.

Not Worth The Money Or The Time...
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
I decided to take my mother to new jersey for the wonderful waterford crystal sale that is held every year in wildwood, nj. I thought it would be fun to stay in atlantic city (I had never been) and the rates at the shearton were great. When we finally arrived after a long day of traveling we were greeted by one of the nicest doormen I have ever met. His name was brian and he was fantastic. He knew everything about the area and was very warm, friendly and funny. If you stay at this hotel look for brian - especially if you have questions. I found him to be more informative and helpful than any other member of the staff. I thought we were off to a great start, boy was I wrong. The staff is rude...I mean rude. I couldn't believe the treatment I received. They could care less about the guests, I think they'd rather stand around and gossip than do their job. I have stayed at sheratons all over the counrty and thought that they had a certain level of standards for their staff, apparently i was wrong. I asked for a late check out (as a memeber of the starwood preferred program they will provide that) and was actually given a look questioning how I could actually bother them with this request. We got to our room and the noise of the other guests was unbelievable. I was told I needed to wait until 10:30 pm before they could send up security. At midnight who wants to change rooms after driving for 9 hours? I had booked 2 seperate reservations to get the 2 different rates for the room. When we returned to our room on friday afternoon we couldn't get in. I went to the desk to find out what had happened and was told the keys needed to be reprogrammed. When the women told me that the man checking me in should have notified me I said he barely spoke forget about providing me with any information. Her response "that is not my problem." I couldn't believe it. I was stunned. I could continue with more examples but i think you have a good feeling of the experience. The hotel is ok - a bit outdated and in my opinon the rooms need some work (especially the bathrooms). I would never ever stay here again - the inexpensive rate is not worth the treatment. I have written a letter to the hotel not for any compensation but to let the management know just how unbelievable their staff is.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend getaway. Upon arrival we found the staff very helpful. Lobby was nice and clean. We were on the 9th floor (non smoking), when we entered the room, it was very clean and nice. The sweet sleeper bed was very comfortable and we slept great every night. It is about a 4 block walk to the boardwalk, a nice walk to start your day. The outlets are right across the street from the hotel and all the shops are very nice.

Disappointing, But Better Than Most In Ac…
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
This hotel was a disappointment and certainly not up to sheraton standards. The carpet in the room was wretched and does not appear been cleaned in years. The hotel allows dogs to stay in rooms with guests and it shows. My clean white socks were soiled with a nasty brown residue after walking across the room. The tub caulking was infested with mildew. I do have to say the beds are comfortable and the rooms are not bad overall, however I can not overlook the cleanliness issues. The hotel is right across the street from the train station / convention center, but noise is not a problem. Jitneys stop across the street and will take you anywhere in town for $1.75, or the four block walk to the boardwalk through outlet stores is safe and well lit.

Don'T Make The Same Mistake I Did!
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
I guess I made the same mistake that a lot of travelers seem to make. I read the reviews for the sheraton ac, and they were decidedly mixed to bad. But the price was right, and it was only one night...so how bad could it be, right? I'll keep it brief...(1) our "non-smoking" room had a stale smoky odor. When we asked to change rooms, we were informed that there were no king, non-smoking rooms available. However, we were offered an ionizer that would remove the stench in a couple of hours...and it seemed to work. (2) our room keys did not work in the elevator. This required yet another trip to the front desk so we could access our floor. (3) the a/c in our room did not work at all. Yes, it was november but it was warm and stuffy in our room, and we wanted to cool off...no such luck. (4) the bathroom was dirty. I've never actually seen dirt in a hotel room but there were brown smears of something on the back of the bathroom door (I should have taken pictures.) (5) the shower whined. Well, I guess it was more like a screech that could be heard throughout the room and probably in the room next door. (4) lastly, our "deluxe club level" room (yes, I paid extra for it) was adjacent to the elevator bank. At 4am, as we were lying awake in our over-heated room, listening to the elevators go up and down, we seriously considered getting in our car and making the trek back to phila...at least we knew we'd finally get some sleep!

I have booked this hotel through hotwire (i.e. Only knowing the star rating before the booking) and was somewhat concerned afer reading the negative reviews here. However my stay turned out to be very satisfactory and comfortable. I didn't spend much time in the hotel and didn't have to use the service staff much, but check-in and check-out was quick and courteous. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was absolutely fine and the bed was very comfortable. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone without second thoughts.

Great Value, Great Room

Great value, we went mid week to atlantic city during christmas vacation. It was last minute so there was no availability at larger hotels on the strip but we were plesantly surprised. The hotel is in a great location - across the street from the outlet stores only a couple minutes walk to casinos. It was a great deal for under $100 per night mid week - - very nice room and very comfortable bed. The tun tavern attached to the hotel has good food, the calamari is great. The deserts are huge so don't order two as we did! One is enough to feed a family of 4! Great trip, we will definitely return to this hotel.

Stayed at the sheraton for 3 days just prior to new years eve. I was a little worried that it was off the beaten path but once I arrived at the hotel and saw that it was only a few blocks away from the casinos I realized all was well. This hotel is really no farther away from the boardwalk than say, the taj is from the tropicana. Actually its closer. Right between the hotel and the boardwalk is a new open air factory outlet shopping mall. All big name stores and a few restaurants to walk by and window shop as you walk to the casinos. There are also little blue jitneys that stop right outside the hotel/convention center that will take you wherever you want for 2 bucks a person.

Not A First Choice, But Acceptable

The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and the property was generally well maintained, but nothing about this sheraton screams out "stay here."+m281a group of us stayed the night before new years and this was the only hotel we could find that didnt' require a two night stay. This is one of the few hotels in ac that allows pets and since one of our friends had a small dog, this was a good hotel. (and fortunately, the place wasn't overrun with animals, as sometimes happens in hotels that allow pets.)

Nice Rooms With Nice Views
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
Have stayed here 4 times, so far. Figure it's time to write a review! I've had nice rooms, consistently, and the staff is always very competent. My main complaint is the parking situation - you must use the convention center deck, which is far away & a pain to get to. Otherwise, the hotel is near the outlets, and only a short walk to bally's, caesars, etc. Not a bad location, at all, and because it is not on the main strip, it has great views of the skyline. Will definitely go back to stay there, because I usually get good rates, and I like the decor & comfort (great cushy beds & pillows). If you splurge on a "club room", you get complimentary breakfast & evening snacks. Not a bad deal, but you could always go to ihop or the crepe cafe for breakfast, without spending big bucks at the hotel restaurants.

Disgusting Hotel

This hotel doesn't deserve any stars. Anyone who is writing good review for this hotel must be a paid employee, sponsor or a friend of the hotel. There must be mildew growing throughout the entire hotel. Beware! Mildew is extremely dangerous to your health. And all the flies flying around the rooms must be a sign that this place is seriously infested with germs.

Pleasant Stay 1/27-1/29, 2006
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
We had a very nice stay at this hotel. Our room was huge -- room 951, a corner room with two different views of the city. Everyone was kind and helpful. Parking pricing awful. The lot across the street for shopping at the outlets was only $4.00. Visiting friends used this lot and had no problem. They were able to park there while we went to a fight by limo courtesy of the hotel and did a little gambling until about 4:30 in the morning. They didn't have to pay anything extra. We didn't bother with the restaurant downstairs since applebees was right across the street. Loved that it was right across the street from the outlets. No casino actually made it perfect location for those like me who would probably wake up in the middle of the night and gamble until all the money's gone. Bathroom was not proportionate to the rest of the room. It was very tiny. Separate dining area with second window and a different view of the city. Small refrigerator, sink and microwave in this area. Computer hook-up on a hutch in the dining area. It wasn't a desk so the dining table was used. I couldn't get a wireless connection but the line connection was high speed. Safe located in the closet. Lounge/bar area on the second floor was nice spot to chill. Side entry from outside to second level with key card made it easier to carry all of my purchases. Used priceline for one night and timeshare partnership hotels for second night. Requested a late check out and was given one extra hour. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Friends said other hotel rooms were much smaller.

Great Place To Be....Super Beds...

It's really great place to stay. Was there only one night with a friend. Check in took us about a minute - room was with a great view on casinos on the 10th floor, room was clean and very nice. The best thing in a room ware the beds - it was like sleeping in a air - brilliant, I even decide to check out who made the matress to get one as well. It's not noisy or crowded as there are no casino and if you don't have any prefference where to gamble and spend time - then sheraton has a great location between tropicana, caesars and borgada... Although someone can say that it's a minus that it's a bit away from casinos, but not for me atleast.

Awful Service - for Dogs, Not People!
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
Be forewarned - stay only if you wnat no services! The hotel is nicely appointed but the service is horrific. When I arrived by foot (because I parked in the lot across the street) and overwhelmed with bags, the doorman, who was watching a car drive up, just looked at me and then turned his attention back to the car. He didn't offer to help - or even greet me. (if you want attention, be sure to drive up in your expensive foreign car!) Dogs barking in rooms - be careful! When I complained, the staff attempted to placate me by saying 'we are aware of the problem and are taking care of it.' hours and hours lapsed and, after frequent calls, the receptionist had the gaul to say, "oh, is it still barking?" you may want to have the local aspca phone number handy! During my stay, the dog barked for 8 hours non-stop and was still going when, only due to my vociferous instance, was my room changed.

Good for A Last Minute Trip
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Visitor Review
I stayed at the sheraton from 5/12/06 to 5/14/06 for mother's day weekend. This was a last minute trip booked through a bid on a travel website. We got a standard room with a king size bed on the 14th floor. The room was very nice, got a great night's sleep (it was like sleeping on a cloud). The rooms had a coffee maker with name brand coffee, iron/board, hair dryers, shampoo, cond, lotion, name brand mouthwash, etc. The tun restaurant downstairs is very pricey ($33 for a steak and a potato). There is an applebees rest. Nearby walking distance. The parking is expensive. My only complaints: my room key didn't work when I came back to my room after a day of casino hopping and shopping. The staff was nice and re-programmed it immediately. Also the hotel parking lot ticket machines didn't work. It was almost like the honor system, they had no clue we had parked there and we didn't want to chance getting the car towed just to save the $10 parking fee so we paid. The hotel is close to the outlets, the casinos and boardwalk are a couple of blocks away. There are jitneys across the street that take you to the casinos for $1.50. Great for couples, there aren't too many children running around. Overall it was a good, clean, quiet stay. I would recommend it and stay there again.

Poor Housekeeping

We booked a 1 night stay. When we walked into the room it smelled of cigarette smoke (was suppose to be a non-smoking room). We noticed that the bedspeads and blankets were wrinkled as though someone slept on the bed, we found hair on the blanket also. The linens were changed. We went out and returned to find the "fresh" scent of linen which was not there when we checked in.

Awesome Stay

Check in was quick, our room was large, comfortable and very clean (room 851) with a great view. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Entire staff was very courteous and helpful. Definitely think this hotel was of better quality than most on the boardwalk.

Great Place To Stay

This hotel is close to shopping and you can walk to the beach. It is quiet something you need after a walk on the boardwalk. The pool is great for kids.

Broken Drawer and $1.50 Jitney, 2Pennies and A Monkey
By Anonymous on Wednesday, June 07, 2006

Visitor Review
Well this was memorial day weekend '06, the hotel was clean and nice. The staff were courteous. What you would expect. The room was clean except for a broken drawer below the tv for clothes. I called and the honestly said the had no time to repair it now, "i replied ok just don't charge me." the hotel is close to all the casinos, jitney charges didn't like that. Good part is when you get back to the shearaton you don't have a casino or all the sometime chain smoking beer gut drinkin, breast augmented peoples to keep you up. Btw forget about the monkey and 2 pennies its not worth it.

The shearton atlantic city is an ok hotel is kinda reasonable and have great beds.my boyfriend and I spent the memorial weekend of 2006 there.the service was the only problem we had,on the first night of our stay after unpacking I realized we forgot to pack toothpaste so I had him called room service and ask if it's possible for us to get some and they said yes it certainly not a problem...well lets just say we waited and waited until we decided to call back 'room service', this lady answered whom I find was very rude and made it seem like we were bothering her and then had the nerve to say to me that the gir who delivers is busy.maybe they will improve the service there otherwise the hotel was very clean and well kept.

Fantastic Hotel Experience

The sheraton atlantic city was a beautiful hotel. Service was excellent. The room was clean and there was security in the hotel and in the parking garage. Public transportation was right outside the front door. In addition, the trump casino provided a free limousine ride home from the boardwalk on both friday and saturday night. A very pleasant experience.

Nice hotel - new - right at new convention center. No real bar or restaurent in hotel but there is one connected. Away from any action unless there is a convention at the center across the street.

Best In Atlantic City

The sheraton is one of the best hotels that I have ever enjoyed in atlantic city. Although it did not have a casino, the accomadations and the hotel were better than most hotels on the boardwalk. Ample parking all around, easy access to taxis, jitney, and train station. I'll definetely stay again.

Great Value, Great Room, Good Location

My husband and I went mid week during christmas vacation. The other larger hotels on the boardwalk had no availability but we were plesantly surprised. Nice clean room, very comfortable bed. The hotel is located across the street from the outlet stores and a couple minutes walk to the casinos. The tun tavern restaurant and bar connected to the hotel has good food, the calamari is great. The deserts are huge so don't order two as we did! Great place, we will return in the future.
