Would Not Stay Here Again

Check in was 4 pm. We arrived a little after that and went to get our room. The front desk was prompt, but gave us keys for a smoking room. I have bad allergies and smoke bothers me. I had requested a non-smoking room when I booked online. The front desk told me that "non-smoking is a preference" which I have never heard of. He said there was nothing they could do about the room because they were completely booked except send housekeeping to difuse the smell. When we got the the room, it had 2 double beds instead of the king I requested and smelled smoky. Upon returning to the front desk, he fixed that problem and gave us a different room with the correct bed size. The room was very stuffy, although the smoke smell was not too bad. While the price was not too bad, I would recommend the clarion hotel down the street for a similar price and much nicer stay.

We arrived on friday dec 2. First thing that went wrong was they gave us a room that already has someone in it. The rooms were very musty smelly the heater did not work. We asked for a refridgerator and it was very dirty. The staff did try to make it up to us, we had a chance to look at other rooms to see if we like them. The appearance of the place is a big turn off because they are renovating so it is not in the best appearance, I think that they should close the hotel while they renovate. The room was clean enough and the bathroom was also clean. Overall I would not stay there again you really get what you paid for. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a better hotel.

This is a ramada, so please come into it with that mindset. Some of the previous reviewers seem not to have. I stayed here for one night. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has two buildings with rooms, one with interior corridors and one with exterior corridors. My room was in the building with the interior corridors, which may account for a differential in some of the reviewers opinions of this hotel. Bear this in mind and when you reserve a room request the building with the interior corridors (it's a 5 story building) rather than the motel-style building which, i would wager, was built first and the 5 story building was subsequently added. Staff was not overly friendly. Breakfast was quite adequate, though not spectacular. Price for this hotel was a great value (got a room for $50 a night). All in all, a fine experience. I would stay here again. The location is perfect. I'd say you're roughly two miles from the boardwalk.
