Bring Your Sleeping Bag
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
Just got back after staying for 2 nights (august 18-19, 2003, what an experience!!!! The place is dirty, dirty, dirty--needs a major renovation. From the wallpaper to the tub. My experience was a nightmare, I took my wife there for our 25th anniversary in the hopes of escaping for a few nights of gambling and enjoying ourselves. Be prepared to not have your sheets changed or ask for additional towels as there is no room service. Also, the tub looks to be atleast 20 years old...no baths..no showers unless you are looking to catch something...dirty, dirty, dirty. With the 2 nights we spent there...we probably spent a total of 3 hours in the hotel awake. Bring your sleeping bag or go the extra expense and stay at one of the casinos. I also called the quality inn corporate (upon arriving home) and expressed my concerns as they show this hotel as one of their choice hotels. Their response...thank you for letting us know..and yes, this hotel is a franchise. No word back yet on my complaint. But again I am a traveler and always tend to stay where i know what quality offers.

From Reluctant To Satisfied

Just completed a six night stay -- very satisfied. Excellent customer service -- eager to please. The room was neat save for peeling wallpaper -- outstanding showers and housekeeping did a fine job. Only complaint is having to pay 75 cents every time I needed to use my phone card. Also would be nice if they had high speed internet....oh well...would recommend....oh, it may be steps from the casino -- but they are long ones and take the jitney or a taxi at nighttime..

Cost to retrive $100.00 plus dollars left a day early still have not got my refund which we were promised. Will never visit again it sucked. Very Dirty and Smells, Don'T Go

My room and the entire floor smelled rotten. They gave me a hard time about clean towels. The walk wasn't far to the boardwalk but I wouldn't go alone it's about two blocks of garbage. I will never stay there again. Wish I would have stayed home.

If you want fancy dont stay here. If you need a room to crash after the casinos this is the place! Staff was nice to us, parking is tight late at night but guard showed us another lot across the street. For the money I would come again. We stayed 12/26/03. Let us check in early, stay late. Thats all we wanted.

Stayed march 12,2004. It was not worth 203.00 dollars we spent because I was too tired to drive. I have stayed at other quality inns, were they were immaculant and no holes in the walls for only70.00!! I don't recommend this one (athlantic city south carolina ave) to anyone.

Quality Has No Place Here
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was rude upon check in and the whole place reeked of some unknown odor. We didnt have enough towels and when we asked about extras the management balked at providing them. The wallpaper was stapled to the walls in some places and stained in others. The bathroom door was stuck and you got locked in there most of the time. We asked for a wakeup call that we did not receive and when we asked why not we were told that the night manager is in charge of them and it was not their problem. Overall this hotel was terrible and a huge ripoff at $200 for one night. Quality inn my foot!

No Complaints

This place is not nearly as bad as I feared based on some of the other reviews. We arrived at 1:30pm and they let us check in at that time. We parked there for free until 10:00am the next morning. The place was reasonably clean, though a bit run down. We stayed on the 8th floor and it was nice and quiet. I slept much better than I usually do in hotels. I didn't notice any "stinkyness" that others complained about. It is only a 5 minute walk to resorts, and the front door of the hotel is directly on the jitney (the mini buses that run 24/7 to and from the various casinos) route. We paid $113 including tax for one night, which is at least $100 less than any of the casinos on the boardwalk, and comparable to anything near the boardwalk. Bring you own alarm clock. We would definitely stay there again.

Stay Away!
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

This hotel is terrible! The pictures are very deceiving! As you walk in the lobby it smells like urine and there is a homeless person on the bench in there! We should have left at that point! Anyways the room was not much better. The room smelled was dirty and some substance was all over the headboard, along with the coffee stain splattered on the walls. The towels looked liked someone already wiped there hands on them. We were not happy with this place at all and never even stayed. We did get our money back and we left.

Awful
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
This place was awful and so outdated. The pictures on the internet that they show do not depict an actual room. Hotel was dirty along with lobby bathrooms. Hotel room was dirty, wallpaper was peeling, knobs missing from doors, bathroom sink and tub was dirty. All around gross. Hotel is also in a horrible location with run down buildings and filthy allyways during your 1 block walk to the beach.

Worse Hotel I'Ve Ever Stayed In
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
This is by far the worse place I have stayed in. I have stayed in motels that were better than this place. The front desk wasn't very accomodating. The lady looked like she didn't want to be there. The wallpaper in the room looked like it was layed down by a blind man and it had stains all over it. It was just disgusting. I figured I would try to save some money by not going all out on the hotel since I was going to just sleep in it. We ended up leaving the next day and booked at bally's where we felt like we were in paradise! And it was only a hundred dollar difference and worth every penny.

Roach Infested Hotel! Stay Away!
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
I checked into this hotel and within 10 minutes saw 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. I informed the front desk and asked that this be taken care of. Not only was this problem not taken care of but the next morning at 4am I had a huge cockroach crawl across my face. This is the absolute worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. Not only is the hotel bug infested but the hotel staff is not accomodating at all. They did not care in the least that the hotel is bug infested and ignored my complaints.

Another Vote for "Dump"

I stayed at this proerty two weeks ago. Paid $100 for the night. What a dump. Horrible bed. Dreary room. I can't think of one good thing to say other than it was only a block to the boardwalk. Try another place or you'll be sorry.

Do Not Leave Belongings In The Room
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
My friends and I stayed at the beach block quality inn from sept24-26. The area that is it located in is about 1.5 blocks from the boardwalk, and a 10 min walk to the trump taj mahal. The location is ok, not in the best neighborhood, but still tolerable. If you know a.c. then you know how the areas near the casinos are interspersed with run down homes/projects and vacant lots. Its hard to avoid these sites in ac, but probably can be acheived if you stay in a hotel that is on the boardwalk itself.

Quality(?) Inn
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
I had a 2 night stay recently(12/2001). The best thing I can say is that the location(short walk to the south end casinos- showboat, taj mahal, resorts) is convenient if you plan on gambling(i suggest you don't because I lost big). I've seen the place labelled as 3 stars on-line, but I wouldn't give it more than 2.5. Although the room approached what you would expect to get in a typical holiday inn--upon closer inspection you notice that not much care is being taken to present a first-class room. I noticed stains on the reverse-side of my pillow cases as well as on some of the walls. What that substance adhering to the bathroom ceiling was I don't know--need to send it to the lab. The bathroom floor could have used a make-over(old & dingy). Also, the elevators should be upgraded to look nicer. The place isn't that far off--it could be nice if they spent a little money and took better care of the rooms. Anyway, if you're on a tight budget, it probably is one of the more affordable places(on weekday/off-season) that you can find near the casinos.

Moving Around
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
First of all I will say that this place is in need of some renovation. I had a 3 day stay (midweek)in late august so the rates were very affordable (made reservations online). Convenient to boardwalk, near resorts, taj mahal and showboat casinos. I had the opportunity to see three rooms why because I had to moved twice, one move was because the windown came completed off its hinge, second move was because the tv stop working. You're bascially on your own as far as room service. Although the staff is friendly room/service is slow. Overall the rooms were clean but I would not rate this a 3 star motel more like a 2 star. I would stay here again.

You Get What You Pay for
By Anonymous on Friday, June 16, 2006

Visitor Review
Just stayed at the the hotel over the july 4 holiday weekend. I was a little nervous about booking the room considering some of the reviews but all in all I got what I paid for, and thats what you should expect. The reason I stayed here was I didn't want to pay - minimum - twice the amount for a room at one of the big hotels. Rooms at the taj were pushing 300 a night for the weekend rate. In general, room rates in ac go through the roof on the weekends, doubling or tripling in cost and I would personally rather spend my dough on something other than the hotel room. But enough about that. The hotel is 2 blocks from the beach/boardwalk. Check-in was quick. The hotel is obviously dated but they've worked at keeping the place up to date. The furniture in the room was new and in good shape. Tv worked ok. No clock radio? (someone swipe it?) Iron/ironing board provided. Oh, ladies, there was no hair dryer. Plenty of ice in the ice machine. Shower had good pressure, plenty of consistent hot water. Coffee maker in the room. Bathroom was a little dated but clean. Wallpaper above tub starting to peel a little. The neighborhood isn't the greatest but that basically describes all of atlantic city. The taj is walking distance, 3 maybe 4 blocks. Sands hotel/casino is in the other direction - 4 blocks. All in all I got what I paid for. The room was a hundred bucks a night when the competition was close to 300 for the same thing.

Acceptable, No-Frills Hotel
By Anonymous on Thursday, June 08, 2006

Visitor Review
The room was comfortable with basic furnishings and decor. Adequate for a one-night or weekend stay. Not the cleanest, but average. Our room had a 27" tv, safe, small microwave, and good sized refrigerator. There was a pool and even a fresh produce market on site. Lobby and seating area were very nice. The continental breakfast was decent. Good location, just a short drive or brisk walk to casinos, boardwalk, and outlet shopping.
